Kennedy and Michael – A St. Louis County Court Wedding

Kennedy & Michael’s St. Louis County Court Wedding | Forest Park Photos

I was lucky enough to close out summer 2024 with this sweet St. Louis County Court wedding for Kennedy and Michael! This was my first time photographing a courthouse wedding, and it was so fun to see all the other couples waiting to get married. We were 8th in line, and after watching groups 1-7 head into the courtroom, it was finally their turn.

We spent some time watching the couples ahead of us—some young, some older, some non-native English speakers, and everything in between. It was so sweet to see such a variety of people, all there for the same beautiful reason.

Kennedy and Michael waited patiently but excitedly, sneaking little glances and light-hearted comments to each other. When their names were called, we walked up to the front of the room. I stood behind the judge during their vows, moving from one side to the other to get the best angles. The judge was super sweet and didn’t mind me hopping around!

After they said their “I-dos,” we headed downstairs to the main floor to recreate some elevator photos they had shown me for inspiration. Once we nailed those, we stepped outside the courthouse to take some photos with their family and friends. The day wouldn’t have been complete without heading over to Forest Park for some more photos with the beautiful backdrop that the park always provides.
