This was my first proposal session and it was SO MUCH FUN to plan! Joe reached out a few weeks prior to start planning. We met up on Tuesday before the session to decide where and how he would propose.
On the day of, I woke up early to pick up a bouquet of flowers for Abby, and Joe kept me updated all day on what they were doing and when they would get to the park. We even agreed that he should go to the restroom to stall and buy some time hahaha. I arrived around 2:30 pm to walk around, adjust my settings, and calm my nerves before showtime!
When they arrived, there weren’t many people (we were worried some people might walk into the shot), and Joe and Abby walked down the side of the grand basin and past me sitting on a bench. When they reached the location (the same place they had their first date!!) I walked over and asked if I could take their photos to add them to my portfolio. They agreed (as planned š ) and I started taking their pictures.
After a few minutes, Joe asked me ” Is this good? Is this spot good?” and once I adjusted them and got the perfect angle, I said ” Yes! It’s good!” He got down on one knee, and the rest is history š
